Recent company growth drove the need to look at a new way to streamline our image assets across our Australian studios. We needed to move away from a complicated network filing system to a cloud-based system that created one source of truth.
OpenAsset was the first cloud infrastructure we adopted, and it has been a great success.
The two needed to integrate. The entire organization is connected to Deltek Vantagepoint and the seamless flow of information between the two systems creates one version of the truth. Project numbers are recognized and consolidated in both systems and information is streamlined.
It was important to integrate OpenAsset with our project and people data that already existed in Deltek Vantagepoint.
When practices reach a certain size, keeping track of shared assets over a network system becomes arduous and overwhelming. OpenAsset has streamlined this process at Architectus.
As well as supporting existing operational needs, we have now implemented an employee module between the two systems. This has led to a more efficient way of managing the CV process that we use to create Indesign CVs for project bids.
When we were considering the integration process, we reached out to industry partners to understand their experience using OpenAsset. Architecture is a collaborative industry and speaking to others gave us a far more in-depth understanding of the benefits of the system. We would encourage other organizations to do the same.
