Deltek is the market leader for project-based ERP systems for architecture and engineering firms. OpenAsset has been a Deltek Vision ISP partner for a number of years and many of our clients use our existing Deltek Vision Connector to integrate these systems.
Deltek has recently launched Vantagepoint, an upgraded cloud-based version of Vision, and we are pleased to announce that our newly-built Connector will enable users to integrate OpenAsset with the latest iteration of Deltek’s ERP system. We will continue to support the existing OpenAsset Deltek Vision Connector.
How will the Deltek Vantagepoint Connector work?
Deltek Vantagepoint is used by firms as a centralised location for project-related data, enabling users to collect all the relevant information they need to effectively manage projects from start to finish. The Deltek Vantagepoint Connector is a purpose-built connector that enables users to push subsets of data from Deltek into OpenAsset, and there are a number of key ways in which this will be valuable to users of both systems:
1. Use Deltek Vantagepoint as the Single Source of Truth for project and employee data
Once a project or employee object in OpenAsset is linked to Deltek Vantagepoint, any future updates to the information in Deltek will be automatically pushed into OpenAsset. This means that if a project description or completion date changes in Deltek, there is no need to manually update these fields in OpenAsset. As well as saving time, this improves the integrity of project and employee data across your firm.
2. Tag images in OpenAsset with keywords using data from Deltek Vantagepoint
Firms who use Deltek already have large volumes of project data that can be quickly converted into keywords in OpenAsset. Information such as location, market sector and client name can be used as project keywords, which are inherited by any images stored in that project. This enables you to build a searchable image library by leveraging your existing data stored in Deltek.
3. Flexible field mapping in OpenAsset
Our Support Team will assist you in building custom fields in OpenAsset, enabling you to push whatever information is valuable to users at your firm. Simply create a CSV of the data fields in Deltek Vantagepoint that you wish to synchronise with OpenAsset, and we will do the rest.
